Quartet Twentytwentyone was founded in Vilnius in year 2005. It's first performances were dedicated to sonic interpretations of graphic scores and moving image. Later quartet moved towards more abstract, improvised practices (as well as moved to live to different European cities). During few years of interrupted existence quartet played recitals in festivals such like Jauna Muzika (2006, 2008), Audio Art (2006), Holland Festival (2007), Skanumezs (2008), iFEM (2008), Cut&Splice (2008) etc.

Release presented here consists of four solo tracks composed by each member of the quartet. All the sound material for these tracks was taken from quartet’s recordings that were done during the rehearsals/preparations for the performance at Cut&Splice / BBC Radio 3 festival in London (October, 2008). This festival was exclusively dedicated to performances of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s text-scores “Aus den Sieben Tagen” and Quartet Twentytwentyone got to perform its’ chapter titled “Unlimited”.
