In this piece i again used (for the third time) drawing by American artist Robert Smithson called “Heap of Language”. This drawing consists of 20 lines of text written on a grided sheet of paper. Reading from top to bottom, each text line is augmented by one or two more words. This elementary yet vital form of the drawing is my main source of inspiration. For this version i asked Anton Lukoszevieze to read me all the words from the drawing, later i used the recording of Anton’s voice to generate the pitch and durational material for the score of this piece. With the use of simple software tools i stretched out the words until they became beutiful sliding „melodies” which can be heard in the tape’s part synchronically dubbed by the quartet. The soloist is playing something of a more liberal nature.
