Malcowa (Anna Malec) is the name of outstanding folk singer from near Zamość, Poland. This piece is based on one folk song recorded by Anna Malec, its’ melody was re-written in the form of „number notation” which was later interpreted by another wonderfull polish folk singer Agata Hartz. When notes are turned into numbers and then turned back into notes, this way they never return into their original values; it’s always different, a highly subjective result. Accompaniment for the solo part was written as a hybrid between traditional and graphic notation.
